Your Journey to the Pankonauten
Are you interested in a place at our daycare? We're glad you're here! As a parent-led initiative, joining us works a little differently than at a public institution: more personal, more direct, and always at eye level. Here you can see exactly what the path looks like from your first contact to your child's very first morning with us.
#1 Express Your Interest
Just use the contact form below. Tell us your child's age and when you're looking for a spot. That's all we need for now.
#2 We'll Get Back to You
Parents from our "New Families" team will get in touch and give an initial assessment of whether we have capacity for your child's age group.
You'll also receive a link to our online questionnaire, through which we collect the key information about your child and family.
If everything fits and a place seems likely, we'll invite you for a get-to-know-you visit. If there's currently no capacity, we'll add you to our waiting list.
#3 Getting to Know Each Other
One parent will become your dedicated point of contact. We'll arrange a visit to the daycare outside of operating hours. This gives you the chance to explore our rooms, learn about our educational approach, and get a feel for how daily life works here.
#4 Observation Visit
If there's continued mutual interest, we'll arrange an observation visit of around one hour. This gives you the chance to meet the pedagogical team and experience the daycare in full swing. A real glimpse into daily life with us.
#5 Signing the Contracts
If everything feels right, you're almost there! Together with our board, you'll sign all the necessary documents and officially become part of the Pankonauten community.
#6 Planning the Settling-In Period
Together with the educators, you'll set the exact start date for the settling-in period. Any remaining questions are answered so that your child's first days with us go as smoothly as possible.
#7 Welcome!
You're officially Pankonauten now! A parent from our community will reach out, show you around one more time, and walk you through all the practical aspects of daycare life. For any questions that come up, they'll be there for you.
#8 Settling In
For children starting daycare for the first time, we plan for a settling-in period of around 4–6 weeks. We support your child gently and individually, so they can arrive at their own pace and feel at home from the very start.
