Sustainability and Recycling
Sustainability is a central value of our daycare. We take care to use environmentally friendly materials, avoid waste, and use resources consciously.
Through various projects and everyday practices, the children learn how to develop a sustainable lifestyle. By consciously integrating environmental education into everyday life, we encourage children to take responsibility for their environment.
Recycling projects, gardening together, and experiencing cycles in nature help them develop a deep understanding of ecological contexts.
Organic Food and Green Electricity
We attach great importance to a healthy and balanced diet. The food is prepared fresh daily and, if possible, in organic quality. The catering flat rate covers lunch and afternoon snacks. Breakfast is brought by the parents themselves.
Our daycare uses green electricity and we take care to use energy efficiently. We playfully sensitize the children to conscious energy use by only using light and appliances when necessary.
Cooperations and Collaboration
We cooperate with various local initiatives and projects that convey environmental awareness and social responsibility to the children. These include visits to the children's farm, campaigns to avoid waste, and collaboration with sustainable educational institutions.
We are also proud members of SuperCoop Berlin, through which we source most of the food for our daycare. SuperCoop is a cooperative supermarket dedicated to sustainable, healthy, and fairly produced food at affordable prices. Through this solidarity-based model, we support regional agriculture and promote conscious consumption in our daily daycare life.
