Children playing at the daycare

The Carrier

The Pankonauten e.V. is a parent initiative dedicated to the promotion of children in an appreciative, sustainable, and creative environment. Our association is non-profit and consists of committed parents who actively participate in daycare events. As a parent initiative daycare, the parents not only take on the sponsorship but also actively help shape the organization and everyday life of the daycare. This enables close cooperation between parents and the pedagogical team, making the daycare function as a lively, dynamic space for joint learning and growing.

The Rooms

Our daycare is located in a cozy and child-friendly environment with various pedagogically designed rooms. The equipment consists mainly of natural materials and enables the children to have diverse sensory experiences as well as an inspiring play environment. The rooms are designed to meet the children's needs for movement, creativity, and retreat. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a large group room for communal activities, and quiet zones. The daycare does not have its own outdoor area, but there are very close playgrounds. One playground is located directly opposite the entrance; the children affectionately call it "our daycare playground".

General Assembly

The general assembly is the highest decision-making body of the association. Central questions concerning the organization and further development of the daycare are discussed and decided here. Every association member has one vote and can actively participate in decision-making processes. The general assembly takes place at regular intervals and offers the opportunity to discuss and vote on finances, pedagogical orientation, and organizational matters of the daycare.

Board of Directors

The board of directors is elected by the members and is responsible for the organizational and financial management of the association. The tasks of the board include representing the association externally, cooperating with authorities, personnel administration, and ensuring the financial stability of the daycare.

Chairperson: The chairperson leads the board meetings, represents the association externally, and coordinates the collaboration between the board, team, and parents.

The treasurer is responsible for the finances of the association, manages the contributions, creates the budget, and ensures transparent accounting. They ensure that all financial resources are used sensibly in the interest of the daycare.

Other Board Members

The other board members take on specific tasks, such as organizing events, maintaining the daycare infrastructure, or public relations. They contribute to ensuring that everyday daycare life runs smoothly and continuously improving the quality of pedagogical work.
